The national Ewoman tour—an event organized by Prensa Ibérica and El Correo de Andalucía in collaboration with the City Council of La Rinconada—will arrive in the Seville municipality on March 13 to recognize, highlight, and celebrate the commitment to equal opportunities across different areas of society.

In this edition, the eWoman Woman of the Year Award has been granted to Rocío Caparrós del Moral, Head of Development Strategy at Space Women Alliance (SWAN), an international network that connects professionals in the space sector—where she has been involved for 25 years—and the technology sector, with the aim of showcasing highly qualified female talent that remains underrepresented in decision-making positions.

From Andalusia—with Seville as a hub of global projection—Caparrós has built an international career positioned “at the intersection of space governance, institutional relations, emerging technologies, and gender equality policies.”

Her commitment to promoting equality began at an early age, participating in initiatives aimed at advancing public gender policies. Over time, her focus evolved into a strategic vision that now defines her international work: “The true transformation of gender policies depends on women’s access to the technologies that will shape the economic and scientific power of the 21st century,” she emphasizes.

Thus, space, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and advanced systems constitute, in her analysis, the new arena where real equality is defined.

In 2025, Rocío Caparrós received the Clara Campoamor Award, a distinction granted to careers committed to the real advancement of equality. Her incorporation into SWAN—promoted from Seville with the support of the French diplomatic corps—reinforces a shared mission: to make female leadership visible in the technological sectors that will define the global future, institutional leadership, and industrial impact.

Caparrós also participates in the Airbus Tablada Women’s Network and the Airbus Spain National Women’s Network, from where she promotes connections between industry, public institutions, and the advancement of female leadership in advanced technological environments.
