The Andalusian aerospace industry closed 2025 with aggregate revenue of €3.228 billion, 10.79% more than the previous year, while direct employment reached 16,391 workers, following an increase of 5.78%. The sector accounted for 13.99% of Andalusia’s industrial GDP, according to the 2025 report on the Andalusian aerospace sector, prepared by Andalucía Aerospace with the support of the Andalusian Regional Government and presented in Seville.

The study indicates that Andalusia’s aerospace industry, comprising around 150 companies, maintained a sustained growth trajectory and increased its turnover by 37.7% over the past decade. In terms of employment, 43% of workers held a university degree and 40% had vocational training qualifications. The report also highlights growth in the space segment, driven by new capabilities, projects and programmes developed in Andalusia.

Civil aviation strengthened its position within the sector’s value chain. Revenue linked to civil aerospace programmes accounted for 64% of the total, compared with 58% in 2024. At the same time, the industry maintained its capacity to support both civil and defence programmes, amid growing Andalusian participation in strategic initiatives related to European industrial and technological autonomy.

By area of activity, the manufacture of aerostructures, assembly and mechanical processes accounted for 51% of revenue, while aerospace services, engineering, and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) activities increased their share. By market, 76% of revenue came from the aerospace industry, 15% from aviation, 7% from space and 2% from drones and advanced air mobility. Average productivity among companies increased by 6.33% compared with the previous financial year.

Internationally, Andalusia maintained its position as Spain’s second-largest exporting region in the aerospace sector, accounting for 38.4% of national aerospace exports. The report highlights greater geographical diversification of international sales, with an increased share of Asian and American markets and the addition of India to the main export destinations, alongside Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
