ESA BIC Andaluc\u00eda, the European Space Agency\u2019s (ESA) business incubation centre in Seville, has launched its incubation programme with its first six technology companies.<\/p>\n

The programme, managed by CATEC (Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies) and supported by the Spanish Space Agency (AEE), the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the Seville City Council, offers a comprehensive package of resources over an incubation period of 12 to 24 months. These resources are designed to accelerate the growth of innovative companies connected to the space sector.<\/p>\n

According to an official statement, the selected companies are now beginning their journey within the programme, gaining access to a specialized support ecosystem that combines direct funding, technical and business mentoring, and the international visibility provided by the ESA BIC network.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the AEE\u2019s strategy to develop a competitive national space entrepreneurship ecosystem connected to Europe, aligned with ESA and European Union programmes and supported by the ACCESS programme (ScaleUp and BASS).<\/p>\n

In this context, Spain already has more than 130 start-ups linked to the ESA BIC network and an increasing presence in European space commercialization initiatives.<\/p>\n

During the incubation period, participating start-ups will receive \u20ac60,000 in non-repayable direct funding, provided equally by the Spanish Space Agency (AEE) under the ESA BIC programme and by the Regional Government of Andalusia. The funding is intended to support the development of technologies and products, as well as the protection of intellectual property.<\/p>\n

The programme also includes 80 hours of specialized advisory services in business development, legal consultancy, and technical support. In addition, participants will have free access to the ESA BIC Andaluc\u00eda facilities located in the Renfe Warehouses complex in the San Jer\u00f3nimo district of Seville, made available by the Seville City Council.<\/p>\n
