New Space & Solutions 2026 will be held in a hybrid format, with two in-person sessions at the Auditorio Cartuja\u2014managed by Yventu\u2014located in Sevilla TechPark, on Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, and two virtual sessions on Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17.<\/p>\n

Seville, a space hub in southern Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n Seville\u2019s momentum as a space hub has been strengthened in recent years by key milestones such as its selection as the headquarters of the Spanish Space Agency, consolidating its role within the European aerospace map.<\/p>\n This is complemented by the establishment of ESA-BIC Andalusia (European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre), an initiative by the European Space Agency aimed at supporting the creation and growth of startups that use space technologies or develop space-based applications.<\/p>\n This incubation center provides access to funding, technical support, and connections within the industrial ecosystem, helping to energize the business landscape and generate new economic opportunities linked to the space sector in Andalusia.<\/p>\n Institutional support and sector dialogue<\/p>\n Seville City Council is playing a decisive role in this process through initiatives such as the Space Forum, conceived as a platform for dialogue between public administrations, companies, technology centers, and universities.<\/p>\n This forum aims to foster public-private collaboration, identify development opportunities, and position Seville as a key node in the new space economy. Seville in the Community of Ariane Cities<\/strong><\/p>\n Within the framework of New Space & Solutions, Seville City Council will organize the panel \u201cSeville and Rome in the Community of Ariane Cities: boosting the local economy through the space sector\u201d, which will analyze the role of cities as drivers of sector development.<\/p>\n Participants in the panel will include Silvia de los Santos, Technical Director of Seville Spanish Space Capital and Aerospace and Production Processes Technical Manager at Corporaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de Andaluc\u00eda (CTA); Fernando Ma\u00f1es, Vice President Delegate of the CVA Presidency at Seville City Council; Gaele Winters, General Delegate of the Community of Ariane Cities; and Stefano Carta, Director of Department VII of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital. The discussion will address how collaboration between European cities can help drive local economic development through the space industry, generating opportunities in areas such as innovation, skilled employment, and investment attraction.<\/p>\n City strategy and international projection<\/strong><\/p>\n The role of Seville City Council in the development of the space sector will also be highlighted in an interview within the event.
