The construction of this site, with an initial surface area of around 586,000 square metres, also involved the region\u2019s savings banks. The first five companies to \u201cconfirm their flight\u201d in this area were Easa del Sur (a Gamesa subsidiary), Inespasa, Elimco, Magtel and Stramer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"815\">Today, the park brings together 60% of Andalusia\u2019s aerospace companies and accounts for 40% of the sector\u2019s turnover. In figures, <strong>more than 90 companies are based there<\/strong>, generating annual revenues of over \u20ac1 billion and providing around 4,800 jobs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"1343\">In addition, Aer\u00f3polis is attached to the Regional Ministry of University, Research and Innovation and the Regional Ministry of Industrial Policy and Energy. It forms part of the Andalusian Knowledge System, which integrates innovation and technological development agents in Andalusia, and it is a member of the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE). Its management company, Parque Tecnol\u00f3gico Aeroespacial de Andaluc\u00eda, recorded profits of \u20ac273,157 in 2024 from the leasing and sale of industrial units.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1578\">The <strong>Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC)<\/strong> is one of the 90 entities present in the park. It is the largest aerospace technology centre in Spain, with a workforce of more than 150 engineers and technicians and four sites.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1580\" data-end=\"1861\"><strong>Aertec<\/strong> is also represented in the park. It is an international technology company operating in the aerospace, defence and airport sectors. It designs embedded and certifiable systems for aircraft and unmanned aerial platforms (UAS TARSIS), for both civil and military applications.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"2063\">Another company located in this enclave is <strong>Grabysur<\/strong>, focused on the manufacture of illuminated panels and night vision equipment. This company has established itself as a Tier 1 contractor for Airbus.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2298\">Beyond Aer\u00f3polis, the Andalusian aerospace sector recorded a record turnover of \u20ac2.914 billion in 2024 and created 1,056 new jobs, reaching a total of 15,496 direct jobs.
