Seville is consolidating its position as the true center of gravity of the Andalusian aerospace sector, an industry that could exceed \u20ac3 billion in revenue for the first time in 2025 if it maintains the sustained growth rate of the past five years<\/a><\/strong>. This is highlighted by Antonio G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n, President of the Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace cluster and CEO of Aertec\u2014both members of the Space Forum\u2014who notes that the province of Seville is home to 148 of the nearly 150 companies that make up the regional ecosystem.<\/p>\n

This leadership is explained by the presence of major anchor companies such as Airbus<\/strong>, whose operations generate a powerful ripple effect throughout the supply chain, as well as by a unique asset in Europe: Seville is one of only three cities on the continent with a final aircraft assembly line<\/strong>, alongside Toulouse and Hamburg. This distinction reinforces the city\u2019s industrial prestige and its ability to attract strategic investment.<\/p>\n

The core of the sector in Seville continues to be the development of aerostructures, a field of high technical complexity in which Andalusian companies participate in top-tier international programs. This strength is complemented by a solid base of mid-sized companies with strong potential for growth and international expansion. At the same time, emerging segments such as space are gaining momentum, described by G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n as \u201ca true revolution,\u201d driven by private investment and its increasing strategic relevance linked to defense and technological sovereignty.<\/p>\n

The year 2025 has also marked a major milestone with the arrival of Pilatus, which has chosen Seville for its first major industrial facility outside Switzerland. The project foresees an investment of between \u20ac75 and \u20ac100 million and the creation of up to 500 jobs in the coming years. Following the recent opening of a plant in Alcal\u00e1 de Guada\u00edra, the company plans to relocate its operations to Carmona, further strengthening the province\u2019s role as a leading industrial hub.<\/p>\n

Overall, the Andalusian aerospace sector presents a picture of solid and sustained growth, with Seville positioned as a strategic aerospace hub capable of attracting international investment, skilled talent, and high value-added projects.<\/p>\n
