The Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, and the ONCE Delegate for Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, Cristóbal Martínez, today presented the special commemorative coupon for Seville as European Space Capital 2024 at Seville City Hall.
The coupon, which will be issued on the occasion of the ONCE draw on 1 February, will spread the image of Seville as European Space Capital in 2024 throughout Spain, as five million coupons will be issued.
During the presentation, the Mayor thanked ONCE for choosing Seville’s image for this coupon, which also projects a strategic sector for our city, such as aerospace.
Mr Sanz highlighted the work carried out by ONCE in Seville, which is a reference not only in the capital but also in the whole of Andalusia and Spain, in terms of promoting the professional development and personal autonomy of people with disabilities, and for its great contribution to Sevillian society.
Five million coupons will bear the image of a panoramic view of the Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes, with the Cathedral and the Giralda as protagonists, and part of the Convento de la Encarnación de las Hermanas Agustinas, under the slogan “Seville, European Space Capital”, with the corporate images of Seville City Council and the Ariane Network.
