The Spanish space tourism company Eos X Space, founded in 2020 and headquartered in Seville, has taken a key step in the space race by acquiring the U.S. startup Space Perspective, one of the world’s pioneers in stratospheric tourism.
From Seville, Eos X Space leads an innovative travel model based on pressurized capsules slowly lifted by helium balloons, reaching altitudes of up to 40,000 meters. This experience allows passengers to observe the curvature of the Earth and the contrast between the atmosphere and space, at a cost more accessible than traditional suborbital flights.
With this acquisition, the company accelerates its international expansion, consolidates its technology, and positions itself as the third major global private space tourism operator, alongside SpaceX and Blue Origin. The deal also ensures the continuity of development programs in the United States and strengthens a space ecosystem built on trust, sustainability, and innovation.
The price per seat ranges between €150,000 and €200,000, significantly lower than rocket-powered suborbital journeys.
The company plans to carry out its first commercial flights in the coming months, once the final validation and safety phases are completed.
