During World Space Week, visitors to the Casa de la Ciencia museum will be able to experience a night of astronomical observation at Calar Alto, the largest observatory in Europe, located in the Sierra de los Filabres, north of Almería.
This unique scientific and technical infrastructure is jointly operated by the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC) and the Andalusian regional government, and is used by scientists to search for Earth-like planets outside the solar system, among other things.
Virtual reality glasses will be available for visitors to the museum.
