For many years, it was thought that volcanoes were unique to Earth, but space missions and careful observation have since disproved this theory. In fact, it is more common than it seems, with current or past volcanic activity found on many bodies in the Solar System. This talk will discuss their existence, characteristics and evidence of their presence, as well as their influence on life, particularly human life.
