The school is achieving resounding success with its most ambitious educational project yet: creating a Lunar Constitution. What began as a simple idea in this primary school’s classrooms has grown into an initiative that is making waves around the world, capturing the attention of the international media and social networks.

Not only have this group of students written a visionary document on space exploration, they have also done so in several languages, including Braille and adaptations for people with dyslexia — a feat that has caught the attention of various media outlets. The Lunar School Constitution reflects the students’ profound consideration of space sustainability and the significance of young people’s involvement in decisions concerning the future of the Moon and the universe.

The project has had such a significant impact that the European Space Agency (ESA) even invited the students to present it in Frankfurt, where they had the opportunity to showcase their work and share their vision for the Moon. But the success did not stop there: Ministers Pilar Alegría and Diana Morant have taken a personal interest in the project, giving the students the opportunity to interact with astronauts such as Sara García, Pedro Duque and Michael López-Alegría.

There is still much to discover on this incredible adventure. In March, they will travel to the iconic Cape Canaveral Space Center in Florida with engineer Carlos García Galán, a key figure in NASA’s Artemis programme. This experience will undoubtedly mark a turning point in their already impressive careers.

This achievement is a shining example of determination, creativity and teamwork. It is a true tribute to the constant efforts of everyone at CEIP San Ignacio del Viar and proof that hard work and passion can make dreams come true. Congratulations to all the students, teachers and families for their dedication and hard work! This project is already inspiring other schools and making its mark on education and space exploration.

Congratulations to everyone involved! Thanks to your vision, the Moon is closer than ever. You can read more about their Lunar Constitution on the school’s website: ceipsanignacio.wixsite.com.
